With November being Career Month in Canada, we are going to continue with the series “Careering Talk.” “Careering Talk” is an open mic series to empower job and career seekers with knowledge, insights, career pathing and coaching to find that dream job and develop a career with purpose and impact.
Career Month Canada’s 2021 theme is “It’s Possible.” With my guest Dan Gibson I could not think of a better person to represent this year’s theme and so the theme for today’s podcast is “It’s Possible.”
Dan Gibson is a 2012 graduate from Conestoga College with an Ontario College Certificate in Fire Science/ Fire-Fighting.
Dan is from Cambridge, Ontario where he was born and raised and is a parent to 5 kids which includes a set of triplets.
Dan started his journey with RBC back in 2010 while he was in school pursuing a firefighting career and has just surpassed his 11 year milestone with RBC. Dan has been in a number of various branch roles and have been in leadership for a number of years including his current position as the RBC Manager OnCampus at Wilfrid Laurier. Dan describes himself as a Professional Fun Haver, a Social Media Content Creator, a Community-minded Leader, a Student & Youth Financial Literacy Expert and a Digital Photography Enthusiast.
In his spare time, Dan likes to…create content, video or photo; and through social media share his journey on what it is like being a parent to multiple children of 5 with triplets. He loves and lives for the dad life!
I had the chance to sit down to talk Careering Talk: It’s Possible with Dan Gibson and I am happy to share our conversation with you, Enjoy!
