Students and young professionals are facing barriers, uncertainty, biases and changing priorities as they navigate the school to work transition. Their collective stories have inspired me and now I want to share these stories with you.
My guest today is Alex Dorbyk. Alex is a 2021 graduate from the Smith School of Business at Queens University with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree. Alex is also the Co-Founder, Advisor and previous Co-Chair of Queen’s Commerce Mental Health Association an association which focuses on the mental well-being of students and to provide opportunities to change the stigma around mental health.
Alex is the Co-Franchise Owner of Cleen Detailing which he started as a franchise in 2019 where he manages 8 employees and where he was awarded the top performing new franchise in 2019. In his spare time, Alex likes to play board games with friends, practice his squash skills and test out new smoothie recipes.
Alex truly is a trail-blazer, entrepreneur with empathy and all around mindful person that I have had the pleasure of meeting and I am super happy to have him on the show.
I had the chance to talk School, entrepreneurship and careers with with Alex Dorbyk and I am happy to share our conversation with you, Enjoy!
