On today’s episode we are going to continue the journey with #CoffeeWithConvery "Sports Talk" where my invited guests will share how being an athlete has helped them to propel their skill building, their mindsets and their futures. “Sports Talk” also helps us understand the hurdles and barriers some athlete’s face while being in school, participating in sports and trying to balance the transition into the workplace.
Now let’s meet Victor. Victor Oreskovich holds a Bachelors of Administration, Finance from the University of Notre Dame and Master of Business Administration from the Ivey Business School at Western. Victor once played professional hockey where he selected 55th overall in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft by the Colorado Avalanche, he played with the Florida Panthers, was traded to the Canucks and joined the team in 2011 on their run to the Stanley Cup Finals, where they lost to the Boston Bruins. Victor retired from hockey in 2012, and he is currently Vice President, Fixed Income Repo Trading with RBC Capital Markets.
I had the chance to sit down over a virtual coffee to talk Sports Talk: omnipotence, goofy face emojis and mental strength with Victor Oreskovich and I am happy to share our conversation with you, Enjoy!
