Throwback Thursday: Celebrating life, pseudo-random events and showing up with Mary Yao

On today’s #CoffeeWithConvery podcast we are continuing the series “Throwback Thursday” where I bring onto the show students and young talent that I met years ago and to see where they are now.

My guest today is Mary Yao. Mary is a graduate from the Ivey Business School at Western University with an Honors in Business Administration and recently received her MBA from the University of California, Berkeley Haas School of Business.

Mary and I met a few years back at IBM Canada in Global Business Services when she was in the Consulting by Degrees Program. Since then Mary has gone on to perform multiple roles at Oliver Wyman in New York City, to become an innovation consultant at Hass@Work at UC Berkeley Innovation Agency and now as a Product Manager at Adobe in San Francisco, California.

In her spare time Mary likes to host dinner parties, meet new people and travel around the world – all things I’m told were deeply hampered by COVID. But instead, Mary has taken up snowboarding quite a bit.
